Zachary Gonzalez started tattooing in 2013 in his hometown of San Antonio, TX. Zach’s work reflects his upbringing in the Texas traditional tattoo community of San Antonio, creating bold, colorful work that stands out for a lifetime. His work is a mix of traditional and Japanese imagery, always keeping true to the traditions and rules of the styles that have been proved to stand the test of time, while still making them new and bright. Zach’s tattooing is always done with precision, research, and tons of heart. After having traveled throughout the States and working all types of conventions for the last decade, Zach’s growing interest in Japanese tattooing brought him to Great Wave. After visiting and getting to know the artists and their work, decided to join us full time in 2022.
